The Technical and Property Management Department delivers internal services so that our colleagues in other operations can focus on their core activities. We are responsible for the operation and development of public land and issue permits so that the municipal group and businesses can conduct their operations. We also ensure that children, students, and care recipients receive good and nutritious food and that the municipality's premises are well-maintained and suitable for their purpose.

The technical operations currently consist of about 150 dedicated employees distributed across five units: park, street, projects, coast & green areas, vehicles & internal services.

We are now looking for a machine operator/cleaner for our street unit.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a machine operator, you will be responsible, together with your supervisor and colleagues, for general cleaning, emptying the municipality's waste bins and dog latrines, as well as cleaning green areas and streets. You will be part of a team with operators of cleaning machines, weed machines, and tractor-mounted tools. The management will provide you with the right conditions so that you can work independently and drive the work forward during the day.

The tasks vary throughout the year. In the summer, the focus is on cleaning, while in the winter, it is on winter road maintenance. Winter preparedness and weekend cleaning may occur.

We work based on Kalmar Municipality's vision, "Together we make Kalmar for everyone even better and become Sweden's best municipality to live in." This means that we place great emphasis on collaboration and help each other with tasks even across unit boundaries.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has good machine experience and is accustomed to working in traffic. A B driver's license is required.

If you also have work on the road, wheel loader training, and experience in cleaning and maintenance work, it is an advantage.
